Design360° is a design magazine based in Guangzhou, China.
This special issue features all the winning works from Award360° 2024, a design award based in China with a global outlook. Through its selection process, the award offers a glimpse into the forefront of Chinese design today.
The issue presents the results with a rich editorial structure. It not only showcases the design concepts and visuals of the winning works, but also includes interviews with seven international jury members: Han Jiaying, Liu Zhizhi, Mei Shuzhi, Qu Minmin & Jiang Qian from China; Taku Satoh and Tomohiro Okazaki from Japan; and Park Yeounjoo from South Korea. It also features conversations with two recipients of the New Talent Award and eleven Gold Award winners. To offer readers a more comprehensive understanding, the issue includes social media information for all 100 award-winning projects and their creators.
In addition, this year’s special edition introduces a new curatorial approach proposed by designer LOW sek-vai, who frames Award360° 2024 through the concept of the archive. A portion of this issue reinterprets and re-edits selected works through photography, aiming to categorize China’s design from a fresh perspective and offer readers new ways of seeing.
The theme for Design360° Issue #110 is Award360° 2024 BEST 100.
