Flat Spaces is a reader by Singaporean writer, Kenneth Tay.
The reader opens with an edited lecture by Kenneth Tay, and closes with a conversation between the author and publisher, Gideon Kong.
The edited lecture (Part 1) is a broad and concise version of Kenneth’s research into technological, geopolitical, and logistical infrastructures/spaces of Singapore. While the conversation (Part 2) explores the processes and approaches involved in his research-led practice. The reader brings together a way of understanding the subject in both overt and covert ways, where processes involved in writing and publishing are presented as part of the research.
Flat Spaces is an expanded version of The Sea is All Highway.
